L&G Portfolio Plus Pension

A personal pension with flexibility to meet changing client needs

Overview

The Portfolio Plus Pension is a personal pension that provides your clients with access to a wide range of insured funds at outset. Portfolio Plus Pension also offers the flexibility to self invest and/or take income withdrawal in the future, without the need to transfer to another product.

  • One of the widest ranges of insured funds on the market (over 300)
  • After 30 days your clients have access to the self investment and income withdrawal option (subject to minimum fund value)
  • Invest in up to 50 insured funds per contribution/ payment type (with a maximum of 100 across the plan)
  • Offers funded commission up to age 75 for single contribution transfer values and contracting out rebates
  • Accepts Pension Credits
  • Benefits from Cofunds award winning platform.

Self Investment And Income Withdrawal Option:

  • Your clients can invest in collectives on Cofunds
  • A minimum fund value of £25,000 (which can include Protected Rights) in insured funds and/or collectives on Cofunds before any other form of self investment can be held
  • Income withdrawal is subject to minimum fund values. See the Portfolio Plus Product Summary for further details.

Special Concession

Until further notice, Legal & General will be reducing the minimum regular contribution from £200 to £100 per month. This concession will apply if the initial application is accompanied by either a single premium or transfer value of at least £30,000, and all investments are invested in insured funds.

Once the 'Self investment and income withdrawal option' is exercised, the client will be able to pay transfer values in respect of designated funds. Additional minimum payment levels apply for these.

Charges

Contribution Based Commission

As per Nil Commission above plus, for every 0.1% of renewal commission the AMC increases by 0.1% (up to 1%).

Funded Commission
  • The AMC as shown above for Nil Commission is increased by 1% if funded commission is taken
  • For every 1% of level commission sacrificed (up to 5%) the AMC is reduced by 0.1%
  • For every 0.1% of renewal commission sacrificed (up to 0.5%) the AMC is reduced by 0.1%.

No switching or transaction charges for insured funds or collectives on Cofunds. Charges apply to all other forms of self investment.

In addition a fund management charge applies to insured funds which varies by fund. Other charges apply to specific self investments.
