Making income easier to manage

We've changed income mandates to be at product level rather than fund level, so the funds held within a product are all either set to take income or to reinvest - making your clients' portfolios much simpler and quicker to manage. Find out more on how the change affects you and your clients.

More changes to pension legislation

The Government has announced more changes to pension legislation that promise to shape the way you advise your clients on pension matters. The changes include the end of so-called compulsory annuitisation at age 75, the abolition of DC contracting out and the RPI/CPI changes. Find out more at our Technical hub.

Get ready for tax year end 2011

Tax year end has a habit of creeping up on us all so make sure you're prepared early by visiting our dedicated Tax Year End web page where you'll find useful documents and information for the end of the tax year. This page will be updated as more information becomes available.

To give you an extra hand this ISA season we've put together a great new support kit. This will help you create tailored mailshots to your clients to encourage them to use their ISA limit. It contains all the templates, application forms and guides you'll need to make the most out of the opportunity tax year end brings.

Economic forum: The first of our new events for 2011

This year we're bringing you some completely new events. The first of which is the all new Economic Forum taking place at the Merchant Taylors’ Hall, London on Wednesday 2 March.

This event will be truly interactive with tables hosted by Cofunds Account Managers and plenty of time for questions and discussion - giving you the opportunity to really engage with our great line up of speakers including the BBC’s Economics Editor Stephanie Flanders.

Keynote speaker: Stephanie Flanders, BBC Economics Editor.

The challenge of evolving your business models in line with the RDR will be the real focus of this year - on top of the usual changes in tax treatment and the inevitable market trends that feel like they move with the seasons.

With the economic outlook still uncertain, we’re bringing you expert views and ideas to help you navigate the wild terrain of 2011 and shape your client strategies.

Financial advisers, paraplanners and support staff in the advice industry are all welcome.

Come and hear from this fantastic line up of fund managers each covering one of the major asset classes:

Multi-asset: John Chatfield Roberts – CIO, Jupiter

Equities: Mark Lyttleton – Head of UK Equities, BlackRock

Fixed income: Ian Spreadbury – Head of Fixed Income, Fidelity

Commodities: Neil Gregson – Portfolio Manager, Natural Resources, JP Morgan

Property: Andrew Jackson – Head of Property, Standard Life

Whether you want to find out more about trading online, consolidating your clients assets or how our MI tool can maximise your client investments, the ‘How do I?’ section of our website has it all plus a lot more. Why not check out the ‘How do I?’ section and see for yourself the range of help available.

The IMA sector list

We have noticed that only a small number of our users are choosing to access the ‘Funds Available by IMA Sector’ list from the Document Centre on the website. This list is updated on a monthly basis, so most users are using our Research Centre to search for the information from our live database, obtaining the most up-to-date picture.

As a result, January’s monthly list will be the last one produced before it’s removed. If you’re affected by this, visit our Research Centre and search by a variety of different categories to give you a real time breakdown of the IMA sector funds at your fingertips.

Have you explored the Cofunds Pension Account?

The CPA is a collectives-only pension with an online illustration and application process that has the option to upgrade to the Suffolk Life MasterSIPP should your clients require additional investment vehicles at a later stage. Watch a short video on the Cofunds Pension Account or apply here.
