FATCA 'nil returns' no longer required for UK resident trusts

For UK resident trusts and other financial institutions that have no US-reportable accounts, HMRC has confirmed they'll no longer be required to submit annual 'nil returns' in order to ensure compliance with the US Foreign Account Tax Compliance Act (FATCA).
