IMPORTANT NOTICE: Updated disclosure documents

We've updated our disclosure literature to reflect the enhanced online trading services and operating systems we'll be offering from 7 November 2011.

The Adviser Agreement and the Cofunds Adviser SLA have been updated to reflect the new functionality.

We have also updated the Cofunds Platform Terms & Conditions and Your Guide to Investing with Cofunds.

You only need to provide the 'Terms & Conditions of the Cofunds Platform' and 'Your Guide to Investing with Cofunds' to your existing clients if they wish to make use of our enhanced service.

These changes will apply to you and your clients from 7 November 2011 - use of our platform services after this date will be on the updated terms. None of these changes are detrimental to you or your clients; they simply bring our disclosure documents in line with our improving proposition.

Speeding up pension transfers with Origo Options

We're making some changes to our website at the beginning of November which will enable you to increase your efficiency by doing more of your business online. Unfortunately, this means that you won't be able to log in between 9am on Saturday 5 November and 8pm on Sunday 6 November. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause you. More details of the changes will be provided shortly.

Big benefits for advisers:

  • Much quicker transfer times (around 14 days) ensure you're giving your clients an improved customer service
  • You don't have to complete the discharge forms prior to the transfer which removes delays caused by incomplete, delayed or incorrect forms.

For more information on which ceding providers participate in this service, please take a look at the Cofunds Pension Account section of our website.

Investment Forum: 16 November, Hemel Hempstead

Why not take just one morning out of the office to hear from six fund group experts and Sky News presenter and former BBC Business Editor Jeff Randall? They'll take you through the key sectors, strategies and the latest in investment thinking to prepare you to support your clients through this volatile time.

  • Find out more about the event and register your place here
  • If Hemel is too far from you, take a look at the articles on the conference website to benefit from our speakers' knowledge.

Videos will also be available online after the event.

Transitioning to fees - A helpful video

To help you to address some of the key issues and concerns in the upcoming transition to fees, we teamed up with Money Marketing to bring together a panel of industry experts to discuss these weighty issues and offer their tips to the many advisers making the transition:

  • Adviser charging
  • The FCA's work on legacy commission and simplified advice
  • HMRC's upcoming guidance on VAT
  • How platforms can help.

Get all the key points from the discussion in a short highlights video, or watch the entire discussion in the full length version.
